Syd's Eastside Auto Goes eBaySyd's Eastside Auto Parts has started selling items on eBay. On Friday, November 10th, 2006, Syd's Eastside Auto Parts started offering a couple of sets of used aluminum alloy wheels as well as a Lifa 49.5cc motorscooter. An additional set of alloy wheels for a Jeep were added yesterday (Monday, November 13th, 2006) and there will be more auction listings coming soon.
Syd's Eastside Auto Parts is looking forward to establishing a reputable reputation as a great eBay seller and serving our customers through eBay even more. Currently, we are awaiting the opportunity to list fixed price items, and bulk items. This will happen once we have a few eBay sales.

We at Syd's Eastside Auto Parts are excited about the eBay auctions, though we do know that we have quite a bit to learn about eBay. eBay was really setup for individuals, so conducting business on eBay as a business is a little different. eBay has quite a few issues it needs to address such as business ID verification and such. But we do look forward to a great and profitable relationship with eBay as we help each other improve to meet the requirements of our customers.

We also hope to include more updates through our blog, eventually. There are good things in store, and we are busy to keep our customers happy.
UpdatesAdditionally, it has been such a long time since we have updated our News section on the website, that we should probably mention a few other Syd's News items that we haven't previously announced.
Better Looking
One is that that the look of the website has been updated to match the new paint job on the store. Syd's Eastside Auto Parts now sports a new bold red trim, replacing the old drab blue look of the store.
We even have a new sign out front to compliment the new look. The new sign even reflects the official name of our website, "Syd's Eastside Auto Parts, Used Cars & Rebuilders" and helps our brand efforts.
Even the website has been updated to reflect the new look. And we now have better photos in two of the three header areas of our website.
We have also updated the pictures of our staff and added some content to their own home pages. Check out the Staff Section of the website to become acquainted with a few of the Syd's Eastside Auto Parts Team.
Better Navigation
Additionally, the webmaster is working at sorting out the navigation menu. Although some improvement has already been made, the menu that drops down from the Syd's Info button has become a bit unwieldy for older computers using lower resolution monitors. This is largely due to the website's rapid growth as we expand our online presence. Further organization will continue on the drop-down menu.
Southeast South Dakota Regional Business Listings DirectoryThe other Syd's News item we have been forgetting to mention is that we have established YanktonShopping.net to help promote greater Yankton and Southeast South Dakota area businesses and industry.
Yankton Shopping not only aims to showcase and provide more exposure for local area shopping, tourism, businesses and industry, but to also offer listings that may be of interest to the local community (Disney vacations, etc.). We hope, for example, that local cabin owners may want to use the directory to list the availablity of their abode and then possibly turn around an book a vacation for themselves. However, we only want to list resource and information websites that are relevant to the local area. Currently, we are compiling a list of web directories with which you may use to promote your online presence.
When we discovered that the organization running the local regional listings directory are getting more than Yahoo charges per year for a business listing, we had no choice but to develop our own local area community website directory to help promote our own presence locally and offer such regional online exposure to other area businesses requiring regional online promotion solutions, at no charge.
We have developed Yankton Shopping as a southeast South Dakota business listings resource in conjunction with Feimer Construction Company. We certainly hope that you will take advantage of the opportunity to promote your own regional businesses, especially any that may involve shopping or tourism, to the rest of the world. All that is required to be listed at Yankton Shopping is a kid-safe website or blog URL. The link is free if you provide us a return link to the directory.
Even if you are only offering an introduction and contact details, starting and maintaining an online presence is a great business decision.
